Oakdale Police Blotter: After Traffic Violations, Two Drivers Get Tows
In other reports, a purse containing about $250 worth of items was stolen from an Oakdale bar's patio.

Two drivers had their cars towed away after Oakdale police stopped them for traffic violations.
Around 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 19, police saw a vehicle pass through a red semaphore on northbound Hadley Avenue at 15th Street. The vehicle was not insured. Police cited the driver for a semaphore violation and no insurance.
Then a few minutes before midnight Tuesday, police stopped a vehicle in the 1900 block of Geneva Avenue because the passenger side brake light was out and found the vehicle was not insured.

- Between 10 p.m. Saturday, July 16, and 4 p.m. the next day someone smashed the front, drivers-side window of a car parked in a driveway in the 1600 block of Hilo Avenue. A $160 white iPod Classic was stolen.
- An employee at the at 10th Street and Helmo Avenue reported that a man pumped $85 worth of gas into his SUV and left without paying.
July 20:
- Between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, and 1:30 a.m. someone stole a purse, which was left unattended on the patio at . The purse contained financial cards, a Social Security card, a driver’s license, a cell phone and keys. The total loss was about $258.
