Oakdale Police Blotter: Boulder in Street Causes Accident
In other reports, someone climbed into the window of a second-floor apartment and stole electronics.

A large boulder on the street in the 6500 block of Upper 23rd Street Saturday, July 3, caused a car accident and even left scratches in the road, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
According to the report, a nearby resident reported around 5 p.m. that a woman driving a sport-utility vehicle hit the rock and dragged it about 30 feet. The woman had called a tow truck to remove her car from on top of the boulder, according to the report. She was gone before police arrived on the scene, the report says.
Another neighbor removed the boulder from the road with his vehicle, according to the report.

- Police found a stolen vehicle in the 6000 block of 15th Street around 10:30 p.m. A 40-year-old Forest Lake man who was driving the car admitted to stealing the vehicle, and a 25-year-old Forest Lake woman riding in the car admitted to being involved in the theft.
- Between 12:35 and 4:30 a.m. someone broke into a second-floor apartment in the 6200 block of 12th Street by removing a screen from an open window. Stolen items include a $300 television and a $530 Xbox 360 with two controllers.
- A 44-year-old Woodbury man was cited for concealing two knives worth a total of $50 and leaving without paying for them.
- Police stopped a car at 10th Street and Geneva Avenue around 10 p.m. for failure to signal a turn and found that the driver had a revoked license and no proof of insurance. The vehicle was towed.
- A 14-year-old girl reported that her ex-boyfriend had removed and added items on her Facebook page and that she wanted him to stop. Police contacted the 13-year-old boy, who denied any involvement.
July 4:
- Police stopped a driver who didn’t dim her high beam lights in the 4200 block of Geneva Avenue around midnight and found that the driver was intoxicated. Police arrested the 39-year-old Oakdale woman. They found a substance that tested positive for meth in her car.
- A driver stopped in the 3900 block of Geneva Avenue for a lane use violation and not wearing a seatbelt was found to have a revoked driver’s license and no proof of insurance. The car was towed, and the 23-year-old St. Paul man was arrested due to having a history of failure to appear or pay fines.
- A resident in the 7500 block of 43rd Street reported that there was an injured grey horned owl in the area. Police contacted the Raptor Center and they sent a volunteer to capture the bird
- A resident in the 2000 block of Granada Avenue reported that someone stole a $400 pressure washer from his attached garage.
July 5:
- A $465 set of golf clubs was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 4500 block of Hayward Road.
