Oakdale Police Blotter: Car Stripped of Tires, Rotors and Gas
In other reports, a DirectTV employee had to be taken to the hospital after falling from a ladder and a man was cited for indecent exposure.

All four tires and rims, two rear rotors, and seven gallons of gasoline were stolen from a car parked in a driveway in the 2400 block of Hynes Avenue overnight between March 9 and 10, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
The total value of the items stolen was $732, the report says. The suspect left behind a bent jack, which police booked into evidence, according to the report.

March 9:
- An employee at the at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue reported that a man pumped $61 worth of gas and drove off without paying.
- An Oakdale woman reported that a man called pretending to be her grandson and saying that he needed money to get out of jail. He said he was with the U.S. embassy.
- Someone smashed the front driver’s side window out of a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Hillvale Avenue and stole a $20 purse, $300 camera, debit card and $10 cash between midnight and 3 a.m. Jan. 14. The property damage estimate was $200.
- Two bottles of prescription drugs—one for anxiety and the other for pain—were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Geneva Avenue between March 4 and March 6.
- An Oakdale resident reported that her purse containing personal information had been stolen in January, and that she recently received a notice from a collection agency that a Verizon account had been opened in her name, and had $504 in charges.
- A DirectTV employee was taken to the hospital after falling 10 feet from a ladder in the 7800 block of 17th Street. He was conscious, but complaining of serious leg pain when the Oakdale Fire Department got to the scene.
March 10:

- A man was cited for indecent exposure after police caught him urinating at a light pole on Gentry Avenue near Riley’s and Duke’s around 1 a.m.
- Between 3 and 4 p.m., someone smashed the front passenger window of a car parked in the front lot at causing $200 damage. Nothing was stolen.
- A deer ran north across 15th Street at Goodview Avenue striking the driver’s side of a car around 7:30 p.m. It caused moderate damage to the driver’s side front and rear doors. Police weren’t able to locate the deer.
