Oakdale Police Blotter: Car Tires Stolen from Underground Garage
In other reports, two cars had their tires slashed.

Being parked in an underground garage didn’t protect an Oakdale resident’s car from having its wheels stolen, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
Two wheels were stolen off of a Lincoln Continental parked in an underground garage in the 5600 block of Hadley Avenue between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1, the report says.
A damaged rim was also stolen from next to the car, according to the report. The total cost of items stolen is $350.

- A resident in the 1300 block of Gentry Avenue reported that someone slashed the rear driver’s side tire on his van around 7 p.m. The complainant had a suspect, whom he believed was upset with him because he refused to go trick-or-treating. The property damage estimate was $100.
Nov. 1:
- Someone slashed the tires on a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 6800 block of Eighth Street Lane causing $200 damage.
- The Oakdale Fire Department extinguished a car fire in the 4000 block of Ideal Avenue around 6:40 p.m. The vehicle was towed, and police gave the driver, a Maplewood man, a ride home.
- Someone threw a rock through the front lower level window at a residence in the 6300 block of Seventh Street causing $200 damage.
- On Sept. 29 someone fraudulently used an Oakdale man’s credit card to purchase $127 worth of items from Overstock.com.
- Inver Grove Heights police asked that Oakdale Police check the area of the 6000 block of 50th Street for a stolen vehicle. Police spotted the car, and the driver said she had received the vehicle as a loaner car. A representative from the dealership that owns the car said it had been repossessed. The car was towed.
- A representative from Haberman Machine reported that someone illegally dumped a workout bench, television and other miscellaneous items in their Dumpster between 6:43 and 6:50 p.m. Oct. 31. Police have surveillance footage of the truck that dumped the items.
- Someone entered an apartment in the 6200 block of 40th Street through an unsecured bedroom window between 5 p.m Oct. 31 and 4:30 a.m. Nov. 1. They stole a laptop and backpack with a total value of $530.
Nov. 2:
- A random license plate check of a vehicle in the 4700 block of Geneva Avenue revealed it had been impounded due to alcohol. Police stopped the car in North St. Paul and verified that the car had been flagged for impound. The driver was cited, the vehicle towed and the plates were disposed of.
- Between 6:30 and 10 a.m. an unknown vehicle or object struck a car parked on the street in the 4700 block of Hayward Road. There was damage to the driver’s side outside mirror and scratches and scuff marks to the rear driver’s side door and wheel area.
