Oakdale Police Blotter: Engine Control Units Stolen from Trucks
In other reports, police had to cut the lock on the gate at Oakdale Rentals after a man and his truck got trapped inside.

Several engine control unit computers worth $8,613 total were reported stolen from a semitrailer parked at Delwin Transfer, Inc., according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
Within the last week of the report on June 30, someone unbolted the computers from three trucks that were being parked in the business’ parking lot.

June 30:
- The Oakdale Fire Department transported a motorcyclist with a possible broken foot to Woodwinds Hospital after he slid on sand while turning at 10th Street and Granada Avenue.
- Between 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. someone broke out the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked at Marcus Cinema and stole a $300 GPS device. The property damage estimate is $200.
- An Oakdale woman reported that $1,500 was fraudulently charged to her debit card in Baltimore on June 29.
July 1:

- A debit card was stolen from a vehicle parked at LA Fitness on June 27 and used to pump fuel at the Holiday gas station on 10th Street and Hadley Avenue later that day.
- Police found a 16-year-old girl sleeping in Tower Park for an unknown reason and contacted her mother, who made arrangements to pick her up. The girl said she had spent the night at a friend’s house who lived in the area.
July 2:
- Police responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts on a report of an angry customer screaming at staff. Upon arrival the man was driving away. Police found the 18-year-old North St. Paul man had a revoked driver’s license and cited him for that.
- A man stole $1,045 worth of copper from Menards by switching the price tag on the copper and as a result paying much less than its value.
- Police had to cut the lock on the gate at Oakdale Rental Center after an employee locked a man and his truck inside at closing time. Police attempted to call the owner of the business and went to the owner’s home to try to get a key, but the owner was not home at the time.
