Oakdale Police Blotter: High-Value Items Stolen from Vehicle
In other reports, two men got in a fight, but declined to part ways and multiple thefts from vehicles occurred.

More than $1,000 worth of items were stolen from an unlocked car parked on Goodview Avenue overnight between Thursday and Friday, May 3 and 4, according to an Oakdale Police Department Report.
A television, jewelry box, GPS device and women’s clothing were reported stolen from the car, parked in the 500 block of Goodview Avenue, the report says. The items’ total value is $1,025, according to the report.
The following incidents were also reported to Oakdale police May 4-5:

May 4:
- A gym bag and a container of coins worth $200 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 400 block of Glenbrook Avenue between 9:30 p.m. May 3 and 8:30 a.m. the next day.
- Someone pumped $98 worth of gas into a van at the station at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue and drove off without paying for it. Police ran the plate number provided by an employee, and found it was not on file.
- Someone stole a green plastic yard table and two green chairs worth $200 total from a yard in the 1100 block of Greystone Avenue.
- Police got a call at 10:14 p.m. reporting that a train was stopped, blocking Hadley Avenue. A representative from the railroad company said the train hit a tree.

- Police were dispatched to a home in the 3800 block of Hallmark Avenue on a report of a physical domestic incident. They found two men on the floor, one on top of the other. One of the men, a 51-year-old, said the other man, a 61-year-old, swung at him, so he was holding him down to avoid being assaulted. The older man accused the other man of becoming upset and wrestling him off the couch and onto the floor. Police didn’t observe that either man was injured. The complainant didn’t witness the start of the fight. Both men refused to leave the home.
- A 30-year-old woman was transported to Regions Hospital from after reporting extreme knee pain and inability to move the knee.
- Someone stole a wallet containing a check card, driver’s license and Social Security card from an unlocked van parked in the 400 block of Gentry Avenue between 3 and 9:30 a.m.
