Oakdale Police Blotter: Hunan Palace Burglarized
In other reports, a woman said she was pushed while waiting in line at the Redbox and a Cadillac owner had his wheel caps stolen.

Someone broke into and stole $1,579 worth of cash and alcohol between 10 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11 a.m. the next day, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
The suspect broke the lock of the front door to get in, the report says. The back door plate was also damaged, but entry wasn’t gained that way, according to the report. Five bottles of alcohol and $1,400 in cash were stolen in the incident, according to the report.

Dec. 10:
- A 51-year-old woman reported being pushed by a man when she said “excuse me sir,” after he cut in front of her in line at the Redbox. A witness confirmed her statement. She was not injured, but feared that she would be further assaulted. Police have the license plate number of the car the man was driving, and were investigating the incident at the time of the report.
- Police responded to the area of Harvester and Century avenues on a report of a man walking around without shoes around 3:45 a.m. They located the man, who was shoeless and intoxicated, and allowed him to sit in a warm squad car until the Maplewood police arrived.
- A driver backed out of a parking space, hit another car causing $300 in damage and drove off from at 10th Street and Helmo Avenue. Police had the license plate number and were investigating the incident at the time of the report.
- While on patrol in the 1400 block of Grospoint Avenue, police spotted a car pointing south in the northbound lane and blocking a mailbox. A license plate check showed that the registered owner had a warrant for theft out of Hennepin County. Police made contact with the driver, a 20-year-old man from White Bear Township, found that he was the registered owner, and arrested him.
- An Arkansas man reported that someone stole the four center wheel caps off his Cadillac while it was parked at the between 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and 8 a.m. the next day. The caps’ total value is $308.
- Police responded to the 3900 block of Goodwin Avenue on a report of an explosion sound and then a power outage. They found a tripped breaker on the electrical pole at Goodwin Avenue and 40th Street and notified Xcel Energy.

- Someone broke out the taillights and driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Gentry Avenue between 3 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. The complainant had a suspect. The damage estimate was $300.
