Oakdale Police Blotter: Intoxicated Men Can't Wait for Burger King to Open
In another report, a man reports his car stolen, then realizes he'd just forgotten where he parked it.

The fact that Oakdale’s was closed at 3 a.m. Saturday morning didn’t stop two intoxicated men from trying to make their way into the restaurant, according to a police report.
A delivery driver called police April 9 after seeing the two men at the drive-thru area. One of the men was standing at the window, while the other one was inside, the report says.
Police detained a 21-year-old Oakdale man, and a 22-year-old Rockford man fled, according to the report.

The Oakdale Burger King’s manager didn’t find anything out of place inside the restaurant, the report says.

April 7:
- Police stopped a driver at 10th Street and Interstate 694 for having a passenger-side headlight out and found that the driver’s license was suspended.
- Police stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 6300 block of Seventh Street and found that many of its passengers were not properly restrained. A three-month-old and 3-year-old weren’t in child seats. A 14-year-old girl and elderly woman were not wearing seatbelts. The driver was cited for a seatbelt violation and two child restraint violations.
- A complainant at the Holiday Stationstore near Hadley Avenue and 34th Street reported a $35 gas drive-off and gave police a description of the drivers and vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and found the driver’s license was revoked and that he had failed to appear in court. The driver was booked into the Washington County Jail.
- An Oakdale resident reported that someone opened a credit card using her name and Social Security number, and that a statement for $315 came to her in the mail.
- A River Falls man reported that someone struck his vehicle while it was parked at between 5:15 and 10:15 p.m. April 1 causing $810 damage.
- A 16-year-old boy reportedly smashed the glass out of the security door, smashed a glass window and turned over a bookcase at HSI causing $800 damage.
- A resident in the 6700 block of 13th Street Circle reported that someone stole a $25,000 ring from a jewelry box in her home.
April 8:
- A complainant reported that her credit card and debit card were stolen April 7 while she was in a residence in the 7500 block of 15th Street Lane, and they were used at gas stations in Maplewood and St. Paul.
- An Oakdale woman reported someone passed a check for $250 from her account to the State of Minnesota on April 6.
- reported that a man pawned guns and ammunition that were stolen during a burglary in Pope County.
April 9:
- An Oakdale man who had reported his vehicle stolen from the Maplewood Mall on April 8, called to say he had just forgotten that he parked his car on the other side of the mall from where he had thought it was parked. He retrieved his vehicle.
April 10:
- An SUV or truck driver pumped $40 worth of gas at the Holiday Stationstore near Hadley Avenue and 34th Street and drove off without paying at about 9:10p.m. Another driver had left the same station without paying for $31 worth of gas around 1:19 p.m.
- A resident in the 5000 block of Grafton Avenue reported that there is a fox in the area that appears to be tame because it does not run away from him or his dogs. Police were unable to locate the fox.
