Oakdale Police Blotter: Laptop Stolen from Vehicle in Garage
In other reports, a man reported being punched and kicked by two people and a driver hit a picnic table while fleeing from police.

Someone entered an Oakdale garage through an open overhead door and stole a $1,000 laptop from one of the vehicles parked inside between 10 p.m. Dec. 27 and 7 a.m. the following day, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
The garage is located in the 7000 block of 47th Street, the report says.

Dec. 27:
- Someone from Brown Tank reported that 500 pounds of scrap metal was stolen from a Dumpster-style container on the weekend of Dec. 23 and the weekend of Dec. 15. The total value of the scrap metal is $200.
- An Oakdale man reported hitting a deer around 5:30 p.m. at Hadley Avenue and Highway 36. There were no injuries and there was minor damage to the man’s vehicle. Police did not locate the deer.

- A resident in the 6900 block of Hudson Boulevard reported that someone stole his car, worth $2,000, between 5 p.m. and midnight Dec. 27.
- Between 6 p.m. Dec. 27 and 7 a.m. the next day someone stole $200 worth of scrap metal from .
- Someone shot four paintballs at a house in the 6500 block of Upper 14th Street Court overnight between Dec. 27 and 28.
- An employee at the Holiday gas station at Highway 5 and Hadley Avenue reported that someone pumped $60 worth of gas into a Cadillac and then drove off without paying for it.
- Between 5 and 6:30 p.m. someone shot paintballs at a car parked in a driveway in the 2700 block of Henslow Avenue.
- Police saw a driver fail to stop at a stop sign at 12th Street and Gentry Avenue and attempted a traffic stop around 11:19 p.m. The driver fled onto Oakdale Village Apartments property, hitting a picnic table, and then fled into Maplewood. The registered owner of the car confirmed that her adult son was driving it.
Dec. 29:
- Police responded to a report of an assault in the 1300 block of Granite Lane just after midnight. A 23-year-old Oakdale man reported that a man and woman came to his residence and when he asked them to leave the man punched him five to six times on the left side of his face while the woman was kicking him and hit him on the back of his head. The man refused medical attention. Police arrested and cited the man and woman.
