Oakdale Police Blotter: Man Falls 16 Feet From Ladder
In other reports, a teen was cited for assault at Skyview Community School and a neighbor called in a snowblowing complaint.

The transported a 60-year-old man to Regions Hospital Jan. 23 after he fell about 16 feet from a ladder in the 2900 block of Hemingway Avenue, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
He was conscious and breathing, and complaining of left hip and leg pain, the report says.

Jan. 23:
- An Oakdale woman reported that a fraudulent $617 charged showed up on her check card account around Jan. 16.
- A witness saw a 14-year-old girl pick up an unidentified victim, punch him or her in the face several times and then put the victim into a choke hold at . The victim does not remember the assault, and might have blacked out. The victim’s parents transported him or her to Children’s Hospital. The girl was cited, and declined to be interviewed. The school plans to expel the girl.
- Police responded to a report of a sewer rat in the yard in the 3700 block of Garden Boulevard. The rat was gone on arrival.
- A resident in the 5400 block of Golfview Avenue reported that his next-door neighbor was depositing snow into his driveway, and the street. The neighbor said the wind was blowing hard when he was using his snowblower, and that’s why some of the snow landed in his neighbor’s driveway.

- Someone driving a car with stolen license plates pumped $65 worth of gas at the Holiday station at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue and drove off without paying for it.
- A student was suspended and cited for having a small amount of marijuana and a pipe.
- A 53-year-old Maplewood man was cited for trying to steal a $69 solenoid from . He tried to conceal the item and walk out of the store.
- A complainant forgot a $400 cell phone on a shelf in a bathroom at at about 4 p.m. Jan. 23, and when she returned to get it, it was gone.
- Police arrested a 37-year-old Oakdale man at a home in the 6500 block of 30th Street for possession of a controlled substance and domestic assault. A woman at the home called police and said he was violent and possibly under the influence of drugs. The man was holding a pouch containing a pipe and residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
- Someone broke the rear, passenger tailgate window out of a car parked in the 4500 block of Hayward Road between 1 and 7 p.m. They didn’t gain entry or take anything.
Jan. 25:
- Police recovered a vehicle that had been stolen from Stillwater in a parking lot in the 4000 block of Gershwin Avenue. The car was returned to its owner.
- A driver heading north on the 1500 block of Hadley Avenue tried to stop for a vehicle in front of him and slid off of the roadway. He struck a stop sign on the north side of the entrance to the city hall parking lot around 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported, but there was moderate damage to the front of the vehicle.
- Two vehicles were towed after a crash at the Interstate 694 ramp at 10th Street at about 7:30 a.m. One car was heading east on 10th Street, and the other car was making a left turn from 10th Street. The driver turning said she had a green arrow and that the other driver ran a red light. There were no witnesses, and police were unable to determine fault. No one reported injuries.
