Oakdale Police Blotter: Police Get Two Calls About Kids With Weapons

In other reports, a woman said she was fraudulently sold a salvaged vehicle that had not been inspected.

Kids playing with weapons got the attention of Oakdale police on two occasions Friday.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Helena Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday on a report that a 3-year-old was shot with an airsoft gun, according to an Oakdale Police Department report. The 3-year-old had been banging on the neighbor’s fence, and the 9-year-old neighbor admitted to shooting him, leaving red marks, the report says.

Police booked the airsoft gun into property and the 9-year-old was advised of the city’s ordinance, the report says, which states airsoft guns can’t be discharged in a way that could cause injury to someone.
