Oakdale Police Blotter: Pricey Electronics Stolen from Vehicles
In other reports, ex-boyfriend allegedly racks up charges and chicken found on the loose.

Expensive electronics were reported stolen from two locked vehicles in the last few days, according to Oakdale Police Department reports.
On Aug. 30, someone reported that a $200 amplifier and $80 mp3 player were stolen from a locked vehicle parked in the 600 block of Gretchen Lane between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7 a.m. the next day, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
On Sept. 2, someone reported that a $1,500 laptop and $250 camera were stolen from a locked vehicle parked in the 3700 block of Goodwin Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and 8 a.m. the next day, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.

In both instances, there was no damage to the vehicle, and it was unknown how someone got into the vehicles, according to the reports.

Aug. 31:
- A resident in the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue reported that someone punctured all four tires on her vehicle while in the parking lot between 10 p.m. Aug. 30 and 10 a.m. the next day. The damage estimate is $400.
- An 85-year-old man told police he gave a caller who purported to be from US Bank his checking account number and other personal information. The man got suspicious and confirmed with the bank that it was not a bank representative who called. The man cancelled the account.
- A gold and black chicken was found in a yard in the 1700 block of Helmo Road and transported to the animal shelter in Woodbury.
- A 39-year-old Oakdale man was cited for allegedly punching his wife in the stomach and head with a closed fist in the 1200 block of Gentry Avenue.
- Police arrested a 25-year-old man who allegedly struck his 17-year-old wife in the head with a closed fist and then put her into a headlock and pushed her against the wall in a home in the 6000 block of 52nd Street.
- Police responded to a residence in the 6800 block of Eighth Street Lane on a report that a man in the back yard was intoxicated with a knife on his belt. Police found the man, who was passed out. When he woke up, he didn’t know where he was or how he got there. Police found he had a warrant, and so they arrested him and took him to the Washington County Jail.
Sept. 1:
- A $510 Marin bicycle, a $20 backpack and $20 worth of clothes were stolen from an unlocked attached garage of a home in the 6300 block of 45th Street overnight between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28.
- An Oakdale woman’s ex-boyfriend has been fraudulently making charges and drawing money from various financial accounts. He took a $1,700 lien out on her 401K, used her checking account to make his credit card payment and used her credit card to charge $779 worth of items. He had no authorization to use any of the accounts.
Sept. 2:
- A 35-year-old St. Joseph man was cited for concealing $119 worth of items at and leaving without paying for them. A loss prevention employee recovered the items from the man.
