Oakdale Police Blotter: Resident has a Few Too Many Ducks

In other reports, a woman was cited for allegedly trying to return stolen merchandise and police helped a woman who went into labor in a vehicle.

A Helena Road family must collect neighbors’ signatures after police discovered on May 3 that they owned three dogs, three cats and three white ducks, more than what the city allows without a permit, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.

Police received an email message about the animals, and one of the residents in the home, located in the 5400 block of Helena Road, confirmed that the message was correct, the report says. Police planned to check back on May 7 to see if the resident had collected the required signatures to keep the animals, according to the report.

City law requires 75 percent of the occupants of property within 150 feet of them provide written consent for them to keep the animals.
