Oakdale Police Blotter: Teens Allegedly Harassed Passers-By at Oakdale Nature Preserve

In other reports, a 42-inch television was reported stolen from a large party.

Police got two reports of juveniles confronting passers-by in the around 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19.

One complainant, a 53-year-old Oakdale man, reported that three to four males came out of the woods and walked onto the trail to block his path, according to an Oakdale Police Department report. The man told him there was room for all of them on the trail, and one of the males chest-bumped him and then they yelled things at him as he walked away, the report says.

Around the same time, a woman reported that a juvenile male on a bike, accompanied by three other juvenile males, rode his bike right at her and her husband narrowly missing them, according to another police report.

The group was gone when police arrived at the park, the report says.

May 19:

  • A 17-year-old boy reported he parked his father’s car at at 7 p.m. and came back at 8:45 p.m. to find it missing. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside.
  • A 42-inch television was reported stolen from a home in the 3800 block of Granada Way during a large party. The television is worth $350.
  • A purse was stolen from a car parked at between 6:15 and 7 p.m. The rear passenger window of the car had been broken out. The items stolen totaled $490 and the property damage estimate is $300.

May 20:

  • A resident in the 6400 block of 13th Street reported hearing a loud bang around 2:30 a.m. and later finding that his screen door was torn and there was a dent in his front metal door. It is unclear what caused the damage, but the cost estimate was $1,150.
  • A complainant reported his cell phone was stolen from a gym locker on May 19.
  • An employee at the reported that a woman pumped $50 worth of gas and drove off without paying.
