Oakdale Police Blotter: Teens say Security Guard Stole Their Items
In other reports, police picked up two juveniles who allegedly were dropping rocks onto cars on Interstate 694 from the 15th Street bridge.

Two 17-year-old boys alleged that a security guard at stole their things after finding them smoking marijuana in a vehicle in the theater’s parking lot June 8, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
The boys said the security guard confronted them, searched their vehicle and took a pocket knife, marijuana, a backpack and other items from them. The boys came back the next day to retrieve their items and the security guard refused to return them, according to the report.
He told police he had put the items in a trash compactor, the report says.

Police are investigating the incident. Theft or unauthorized practice charges are possible, according to the report.

July 8:
- A driver struck a 10-year-old boy riding his bike in the 1900 block of Helena Avenue causing scratches on the boy’s shoulder and arm. The boy and his 11-year-old brother were exiting and they said they did not look both ways before entering the roadway.
- A resident in the 2500 block of Hamlet Avenue reported that her adult daughter pulled her hair, hit her in the face causing a cut and smashed the windshield of a vehicle. Police were not able to locate the suspect.
- Oakdale police picked up two boys, ages 13 and 14, and transferred them to Minnesota State Patrol custody after getting multiple reports that they were throwing rocks off of the 15th Street bridge over Interstate 694 and had damaged multiple vehicles.
July 9:
- The Oakdale Police Department responded to a car accident with injuries in the 7000 block of Highway 5 being investigated by the Minnesota Highway Patrol. The driver of the car that was hit reported rib soreness, but refused medical treatment. The other driver involved registered a .215 result from a preliminary breath test.
- A 32-year-old Oakdale man was arrested after his sister said he pushed and punched her in the face in the 7100 block of Upper 17th Street.
- A loss prevention officer from chased a man on foot who had stolen $159 worth of items from the store. Police responded and arrested the man without incident. The merchandise, including two compact BB handguns, was recovered outside of the store.
- Police stopped a 19-year-old St. Paul man for driving without headlights on and arrested him after finding that he had a revoked driver’s license and had failed to appear in court seven times since Oct. 8, 2010.
- A man pumped $80 worth of gas at at 10th Street and Helmo Avenue and drove off without paying for it.
July 10:
- Police responded to a parking lot in the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue on a report from a third party of a domestic assault. The suspect was gone when police arrived, and the victim had walked to a gas station. The victim had bite marks on her hand and back and a bruise on her right ear. She would not cooperate with police.
