Oakdale Police Blotter: Vacuum Cleaner Heist at Office Building
In other reports, teens take golf cart on a joyride, damage vehicle; parent warned not to let his kids ride around on his four-wheeler.

Someone burglarized Titan Office Park—located at 1399 Geneva Avenue—over the weekend, but only stole two vacuums, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.
Between Friday, Aug. 26, and Monday, Aug. 29, someone entered the main building, the report says. There was no sign of forced entry into the building, however, they did try to pry open the door to , according to the report. They succeeded in prying open the door to Oakdale Chiropractic Office, however nothing was stolen from the office.
The damage to the two doors was minimal, and the total value of the vacuums is $250.

- Two teenagers stole a golf cart belonging to the Oakdale Village maintenance staff and took it riding into a tree line next to Gentry Place Townhomes. The cart was found with a crack in the front, which will cost $200 to repair. One of the boys was identified and admitted to participating in the theft.
- Vicodin pills and $40 cash were stolen from a purse left in a laundry room in the 7900 block of 20th Street.
- An 8-year-old and 4-year-old were riding a gas-powered four-wheeler in the street in the 1300 block of Granite Lane. Police warned their father about potential consequences if the kids continued to ride the vehicle.
- A small hole—possibly from a BB—was found in a window of a home at . The damage estimate is $200.
- A resident reported finding checkbooks, ID cards, patriot bonds, a birth certificate and a Social Security card laying in the street in the 7100 block of Stillwater Boulevard. Police attempted to contact the owner of the checkbooks at his home and mailed him a letter.
- An anonymous complainant reported that a man was using binoculars and looking toward Imation. The man was found to be looking at four large whitetail bucks.
Aug. 30:
- Thirty dollars in cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 3500 block of Garden Boulevard between 1:15 and 10:30 a.m.
- A $150 stereo faceplate was stolen from a locked vehicle parked on the street in the 3800 block of Gresham Circle between midnight and 7 a.m.. There was no damage to the vehicle and it’s unknown how entrance was gained.
- The front, driver’s side tires of two vehicles parked in the 6200 block of Upper 51st Street were slashed between 10 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7 a.m. Aug. 30 causing $250 damage.
- Police received a report that three men jumped the fence at a property in the 6900 block of 10th Street just after midnight. One of the men lived at the property. One of the guests had a warrant, so police arrested him. The other two were under 21 years old and found to be drinking rum, so they were cited for minor consumption.
