Oakdale Police Blotter: Woman Cited for Making False Robbery Report

In other reports, police got a call about a noisy chicken, and a backyard fire spread after smoldering overnight.

A 30-year-old Oakdale woman was cited March 18 after she admitted to falsely reporting that a man demanded money from her, punched her twice in the face and then ran off to the west, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.

Her story wasn’t consistent with witnesses’ accounts, and she had no visible injuries, the report says.

She admitted to making up the story in an interview, and was cited for falsely reporting a crime, the report says.
