Oakdale Woman Charged with Soliciting Prostitution, Sex Trafficking

Woman met alleged victim at transitional program for young adults with disabilities.

An Oakdale woman faces sex trafficking and prostitution charges for allegedly taking and posting explicit photos of a woman with a developmental disability on the Internet to solicit customers for massages and sexual services.

Tameshia L. Allen-Hodges, 23, allegedly told an adult woman she met while substitute teaching at School District 622’s transitional program for young adults with disabilities that she could go to her Oakdale home and give massages to make money, according to the Washington County District Court Complaint.

Hodges and the woman made plans for Hodges to pick her up in the school parking lot over the weekend and take her to her apartment in the 4100 block of Gershwin Avenue, according to the complaint.

They allegedly met on Friday, April 22, the complaint says, and then drove to Hodges’ Oakdale apartment.

At the apartment, Hodges allegedly told the woman she could make money giving massages, and if she wanted to make extra she could provide sexual services, the complaint says.

Hodges then allegedly asked the woman to pose for photos, according to the complaint. After that, Hodges allegedly posted the photos she'd taken with her cell phone on a website, along with the woman’s cell phone number, the complaint says. The phone started ringing and Hodges would answer the calls, the complaint says. At one point a man came to the apartment and Hodges allegedly went in the bedroom with him to give him a massage, the complaint says. The woman was uncomfortable, but was unable to get a ride from the apartment, the complaint says. She did not engage in any massages or sexual activity, she told police, however, after she left the apartment she continued getting calls from men wanting massages or sexual services, according to the complaint.

In an interview with police, Hodges initially denied taking the photos, however, she ultimately admitted to taking photos of the woman in lingerie and posting them on the website, the complaint says.

Police retrieved seven images from the phone, according to the complaint.

For the charges of soliciting/inducing an individual to practice prostitution and engaging in the sex trafficking of an individual, Hodges faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and $40,000 in fines for each count.

Her initial appearance in court is scheduled on Sept. 1.
