Oakdale Youth Lacrosse Competes At State Tourney
Oakdale boys lacrosse took second place in the 7/8B boys state tournament

A pair of Oakdale boys lacrosse teams competed in the Youth Lacrosse of Minnesota (YLM) state tournaments on Saturday and Sunday.
The Oakdale seventh and eighth grade boys lacrosse team competed in the 7/8 B YLM championships at McMurray Fields in St. Paul. The Oakdale squad finished as the state runner-up after losing to Delano 6-5 in overtime in the state championship game.
Leading into the championship, Oakdale beat Wayzata Gold 7-3 and Woodbury Black 9-3. Oakdale then defeated Eden Prairie Red 6-3 in the quarterfinals and Stillwater White 3-2 in the semifinals.

In the fifth and sixth grade tournament, Oakdale tied for second place because games were canceled due to an elevated heat index.
Oakdale opened up the tournament with a 5-4 win over Prior Lake, then beat Woodbury Black 8-6 and Centennial 1-0 in a forfeit. Oakdale finished up play with a 10-3 win over St. Michael-Albertville.
