OOEY, GOOEY HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS!

Well, I was thinking game food today and I realized I had this recipe I think everyone will love. This is the ultimate party food because you can make them by the tray and they all get done at the same time! Hope you enjoy!

Serves: 24 sliders Prep Time: 20 Min Cook Time: 15 Min

Ingredients

24 good white dinner rolls
24 pieces of good honey ham
24 small slices of swiss cheese or other cheese
1/3 c mayonnaise
1/3 c miracle whip
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
1 1/2 Tbsp yellow mustard
1/2 c butter, melted
1 Tbsp minced onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce

As if these gooey little mounds of ham and cheese are not wonderful by themselves, a special sauce on the bun before baking really brings it on home. These are absolutely delicious! Make plenty, they will go like wild fire. I found these on line quite a while back and I make them for everything! I like to use Gruyere cheese sometimes as well. You can use turkey, chicken or deli roast beef for a variation. Try different cheeses too!

Directions

1 In small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Miracle Whip. Spread onto both sides of the center of each roll. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss inside of each roll. Close rolls and place them into a large baking dish or heavy cookie sheet. Place very close together.

2 In medium bowl, whisk together all of the poppy seed sauce ingredients. Pour evenly over all the sandwiches. You do not have to use all of the sauce. Just use enough to cover the tops.

3 Let sit 10 minutes or until butter sets slightly. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for 2 additional minutes or until tops are slightly brown and crispy. Serve warm.

*** Sandwiches can be assembled a day ahead of time and kept in the fridge ready to bake.
