Police Investigating Unexpected Death in Oakdale Apartment Building

The Oakdale Police Department called in the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to help with the investigation.

Oakdale police are investigating the unexpected death of a 39-year-old woman, according to a press release.

The woman was found dead in her apartment in the 6200 block of 12th Street at about 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to the release.

She was discovered after she didn’t show up for work when scheduled, said Oakdale Community Affairs Officer Michelle Stark.

Stark said she wouldn’t call the death suspicious at this point, but it is still early in the investigation. The department has requested the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the death, she said.

There is no known danger to the public, according to the release.
