Sounds of Johnny Cash take the Walton Park Stage Wednesday

Sherwin Linton will perform as a part of the Oakdale Summer Concert series.

Sherwin Linton has been playing music for 62 years and performing as a professional with his own band for 55 years. He'll take the stage at Oakdale's from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight as part of the city's Summer Concert Series. Here's a little information about his band:

"The Cotton Kings" includes:

  • Pam Linton - Vocalist
  • Rick Johnson - Drums
  • Pete Brooks - String Bassist
  • Kenny Wilson - Steel Guitarist 

Description of music: Americana—traditional country, folk, gospel, rock-a-billy, cowboy, Broadway, pop standards and patriotic music.
