Tartan Baseball Suffers Tough Loss to St. Thomas Academy
Tartan gave up six runs in the fifth inning and lost to St. Thomas academy 8-6 Monday afternoon.
The Baseball team got out to an early 4-0 lead over St. Thomas Academy Monday afternoon, but couldn't hold on to win the game. The Titans started the game strong, scoring three runs in the first inning and one more in the second. However, in the top of the fifth inning, St. Thomas Academy rallied to score six runs and take a 7-4 lead. Tartan was able to get two of those runs back in the bottom of the inning to keep the game close, but it was not enough. Tartan had a final opportunity to tie or even win the game with the bases loaded and only one out in the seventh. However two consecutive outs in the field ended the game in disappointing and frustrating fashion for the Titans.
Tartan's next game will be Wednesday May 11 at home against Richfield. The start time is set at 4:15 p.m.
