Tartan Holds Track Championships

Tartan held the Classic Suburban Conference (CSC) track and field championships Tuesday and Thursday, May 24 and 26. Tartan's girls team placed fourth with 130.5 points and the boys team placed third with 101 points. Top honors went North St. Paul girls (147 points) and North St. Paul boys (194 points). 

 Here are some of the girls individual highlights from Thursday:

• The girls were first in the 4x800 meter relay.
• Michelle Johnson was first in the 400 meter dash and placed second in the 200 meter dash.
• Audra Richards was first in the 100 meter dash.
• Angie Prell placed second in the 100 meter dash.
• The girls were first in the 4x200 meter relay.

Here are few of the boys individual highlights from Thursday:

• Brandon Twiss placed second in the long jump.
• Trey Johnson was first in both the 100 and 200 meter dash. 
• The boys placed second in the 4x200 meter relay.
