Tartan Student Elected President of Minnesota SkillsUSA
A Tartan Senior was elected to be the President of Minnesota's SkillsUSA high school division.

Recently, a senior from Tartan High School was elected to be an officer at large for Minnesota’s SkillsUSA high school division.
Senior Courtney Merth, is a second year SkillsUSA member and has been actively involved since her start. Last year, not only did she serve as Tartan SkillsUSA chapter’s Vice President but she was also nominated Minnesota’s SkillsUSA Historian. Now, she has taken on a bigger role.
Merth has been elected to not only be President of Tartan’s SkillsUSA chapter, but as well as Minnesota’s SkillsUSA high school division.

The election was held at the annual SkillsUSA Delegates completion, where students from chapters all over Minnesota come to run for a spot in the High School or Colligate levels. After the students were elected to be officers at large they then went through interviews and skills training to determine their spots.
SkillsUSA is a national non-profit student run organization which focuses on preparing students for the world of work. SkillsUSA focuses on the skills of the individual, and helping members obtain skills wanted by employers.

Merth is proud to represent the state of Minnesota, as well as Tartan by acting as the respective, caring, and focused President of SkillsUSA’s High School division. Tartan wishes her the best of luck as she embarks on her second year as an officer at large.
