Thousands Attend Relay For Life Event

Despite the balmy weather, thousands of residents, walkers and cancer survivors attended Tartan Senior High School's Relay For Life fundraiser.

'Friday night lights' took on a different meaning last night for the people that attended American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event. For the 10th year, Tartan High School's football field was lined with tents, baloons and thousands of Relay For Life participants and onlookers.

More than 700 students on 63 teams took part in the 12-hour relay, a fundraising event where teams of people camp out and walk around a track to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
