Utility Pole Falls in Collision Outside Kmart
A woman with a suspended license made a left turn without yielding to oncoming traffic.
A commercial truck struck a utility pole on 10th Street near Wednesday afternoon after a woman with a suspended driver's license failed to yield while making a left turn into the store's parking lot, Oakdale community affairs officer Michelle Stark said in an email.
The utility pole fell across 10th Street, and Xcel Energy responded shortly after to remove the pole, she said. The woman was taken to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.
