Woodbury Leadership Academy (WLA) is a tuition-free, K-12 public charter school where high expectations and success matter to all! Our learning environment and school community promotes academic achievement for students in grades K-12, as well as personal integrity, equity and a dedication to value and serve others. We use inquiry based learning by teaching the Core Knowledge Curriculum — building strong skills in math, reading, writing, history, science and technology. Washington County is one of the cleanest in the country when it comes to ozone air pollution, according to <a href="http://www.stateoftheair.org/2012/states/minnesota/washington-27163.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">State of the Air 2012</a>, a report from the American Lung Association. Thirteen Minnesota counties had "no monitored ozone air pollution in unhealthful ranges," according to the report. Anoka and Washington counties were the only counties in the seven-county metro area to make the list. (Hennepin and Ramsey counties weren't counted.) Data for Washington County was incomplete for particle pollution, the other kind of air pollution included in the report. According to the <a href="http://www.stateoftheair.org/2012/states/faq.html#faq2" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">American Lung Association</a>, grades are calculated through an analysis of ozone and short-term levels of particle pollution.
