What Oakdale School Supplies Will Cost You for 2011

The cost of school supplies is on the rise nationally. Oakdale Patch gives you a breakdown of what you can expect to spend on school supplies at Oakdale's public schools this year.

Oakdale's store has been busy with excited children and anxious teenagers filling their carts with pencils, notebooks and folders in preparation for the upcoming school year. 

Oakdale parents are expected to spend hundreds of dollars on clothing and school supplies this year.

According to the National Retail Federation, the average family will spend $606.40 per child on back to school necessities this year. The cost of required school supplies has been on a rapid incline the past few years.

That number is up from $548.72 just last year. 

Below is a complete list of what you can expect to spend on school supplies for each grade and each school. Please note that these totals reflect current prices at Target and include only what is shown on each school’s supply list, so it doesn't include things like lunchboxes and backpacks.
