Woodbury Cafe Owner to Join Oakdale Coffee Shop, Menu Additions Planned

A new partner is joining the ownership of Oakdale’s , and she’s bringing lots of food and frozen yogurt with her.

Angela Verrastro, owner of Angelina’s Café in Woodbury, is teaming up with the company’s current owner to add to the coffee shop’s offerings, she said. New menu items will include breakfast sandwiches, salads, soups, panini sandwiches, shakes and fruit smoothies.

Food will be made from scratch daily at the Woodbury location, she said.

“I think it’ll just complement what’s already there,” she said.

The shop will retain its current staff, she said.

They’ll also sell take-home meals, she said.

“What we’re going to bring to the table is some really great fresh, clean, but great tasting food for people who are in a hurry,” she said.

Verrastro didn’t have a specific date when the shop would start selling food, however she said she expected to start soon. Watch Oakdale Patch and facebook.com/angelinascafe for updates.
