• Volleyball roundup: Paynesville rallies to knock off Litchfield (wctrib.com) — Paynesville volleyball fans just saw their team storm back from a set down to beat Litchfield and move to 9-7, with a strong 2-1 start in conference play. Key hitters and setters stepped up across the lineup, and the Bulldogs now host Kimball at 7 p.m. Thursday in a Central Minnesota Conference showdown that could shake up the standings.
• Alcohol Considered Factor in Crash Near Belgrade That Snapped Utility Pole (knsiradio.com) — A 24-year-old driver was injured Saturday night when his pickup left the road near Belgrade, went through a fence and snapped a utility pole before coming to rest in a pasture. Deputies say alcohol is suspected, and the man was taken to CentraCare–Paynesville Hospital for treatment. Local police, fire, and ambulance crews from the Belgrade area also responded.
