Help Us Spread Holiday Cheer To Plymouth Neighbors at Homeward Bound

With a donation of a hat or pair of mittens, together we can meet a practical need and make the winter a little easier for some of our neighbors.

It never ceases to amaze us is how our friends in the Boger Dental community will join in and generously support our various community goodwill efforts. Last year at this time, we collected two car loads of toys to take over to the Toys 4 Tots campaign. This year, our holiday initiative is focused a little closer to home. In fact, just down the road.

Together We Can Meet Someone's Practice Need

We have been made aware of a need right in our community. Homeward Bound is an organization that serves individuals in our community with severe and profound disabilities. It was established in 1973 by parents that wished to keep their children with significant developmental disabilities out of hospitals and institutions. Today, Homeward Bound serves over 100 of our neighbors in 18 west metro homes throughout Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, New Hope, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park and right here in Plymouth. Many of these individuals are in wheelchairs and items such as hats and mittens can be easily misplaced during transportation. With a donation of a hat or pair of mittens, together we can meet a practical need and make the winter a little easier for some of our neighbors.

Kindly consider donating winter items such as:

When you are in the office, take one of the promotional ornaments from our hat and mitten tree to help you remember to bring in your donation by Tuesday, Dec. 20. New items are preferred, but gently used is OK too. The new items will be wrapped by some of our high school students from . They will be given as gifts to the residents. Gently used items will be given to the organization as extra supplies.

Of course, in addition to the hats and mittens that we collect, Boger Dental will donate supplies for their dental needs, including toothbrushes, fluoride toothpaste and floss aids. Thank you for helping us spread a little holiday cheer!
