Engineering For Kids is Ranked in the Top 10 of Entrepreneur Magazine's Top New Franchises

Engineering for Kids ® offers STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fun, hands-on activities for kids ages 4-14.

​­Engineering For Kids®, based in Fredericksburg, VA, has been honored to be listed in the top 10 of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 75 New Franchises. Engineering For Kids® was also honored as the top educational franchise in the list. “We are excited to have reached this milestone in such a short time”, said CEO Dori Roberts, “To be honored as a Top 10 new franchise is exciting, and is a testament to the dedication of our franchise owners and staff.”

Since beginning her business in 2009 and selling her first franchise in 2011, Dori Roberts, a former high school technology teacher, has seen her company grow from a handful of franchise locations to over 120 locations worldwide. Roberts, who has appeared in The Huffington Post, Fox News Business and Marie Claire, is excited about the rapid growth of her company. “I’m thrilled that our programs have reached tens of thousands of students in just a few years, and I envision us growing and inspiring even more young engineers in the years to come”, Roberts stated.

About Engineering For Kids Today, Engineering For Kids offers a full catalog of programs for children ages 4 to 14, introducing them to a wide variety of science, mathematical and engineering concepts through an engaging and hands­on approach. Offerings include: after­school and pre­school programs, evening classes, in­school field trips, workshops, birthday parties, home­school groups, scouts workshops, and corporate events. Examples of program topics within Engineering For Kids include Aerospace, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering. The 1st Engineering For Kids® location in MN was recently opened by the husband and wife team of Armando and Ria Mojica, who are based in Plymouth. This summer 2015, camps have been lined up through the following locations: Plymouth Parks & Rec, Wayzata School District, Providence Academy, Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Holy Name of Jesus, Maple Grove Community Center and Notre Dame Academy.
