We all have four layers of abdominal muscles, each with fibers running in a different direction. This criss-crossing pattern shapes your midsection and supports the lower back. There are many reasons why the abs can weaken and "lose shape": past pregnancies, abdominal surgery, sitting for hours a day at a desk, just to name a few. Common crunches only serve to further weaken muscles. In this workshop, we will learn how to strengthen all four layers of ab muscle, reshape your waistline and check overstretched abdominal connective tissue from pregnancies. (If you have this issue, it will change how you do abdominal exercises.) Get a tummy tuck without surgery and find relief from lower back discomfort to boot! Come and learn how to strengthen and flatten your abdomen quickly, effectively and in a very functional way. Come in loose clothing and be prepared to exercise. Bring a mat. Youth age 16 to 17 may register when accompanied by a registered guardian. Supply fee is included in the class fee.
