Football Preview: Providence Faces St. Croix In Saturday's Championship Game
Lions determined to rebound from their season-opening loss to St. Croix Lutheran in state semifinal rematch.

In Providence Academy football coach Nate Harrington's first year he posted a picture of the Metrodome for his players to see.
At that time four years ago, he told the freshman that their goal is to get to the dome. The young varsity program has accomplished that in a few short years. They beat Perham 28-19 last Saturday in their first-ever state quarterfinal game to reach the dome.
"Win or lose, I'm very proud of the guys for acheiving this," Harrington said.

On Saturday, they will face their biggest test. St. Croix Lutheran, the No. 1 seed in Class AAA football, will take them on at the dome for the right to play in the state championship game on Nov. 26.
The two Tri-Metro foes met once already with the St. Croix Crusaders routing the PA Lions 52-6 in their season opener. The Crusaders scored right off the bat in that game and never looked back.

To have a reversal of fortunes at the dome, the Lions will look to Marshall Klitzke's running and the team's stingy defense. The takeaway battle will become key.
"Our defense keys in on taking away the ball," Harrington said.
The Lions have done that consistently in the postseason with key takeways against Perham, Rockford and Breck. In addition, the Crusaders had trouble with turnovers in their quarterfinal game.
