In what could be labeled as "Rumor of the Day", Josh Brolin is the latest to be added to the short-list of actors that could potentially play Batman in Zack Snyder's Batman vs. Superman, which is set to be released in 2015.
Additional actors on that short-list include Ryan Gosling, Armie Hammer, Chris Pine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt -- but if the role went to Mr. Gordon-Levitt, fans of the series might be a bit confused, especially if they've seen Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
According to nextmovie.com, Warner Bros. says Brolin has an excellent shot at the role, as they really liked working with him on past projects (Gangster Squad, Jonah Hex).
With Brolin, Warner Bros. is clearly going for an older, more rugged idea of Batman / Bruce Wayne. When the last Batman film opened, Christian Bale, who played the the role in Nolan's series, was only 38. Brolin is now 46. The age difference isn't all that significant, to be honest.
How do you feel about Josh Brolin (possibly) playing the caped crusader?
