More Than 300 Runners Registered for 2013 Plymouth Firefighter 5K Run

Despite dreary weather the race went on and included people from 55 different communities.

Drizzling rain and cooler temperatures didn't dampen the spirit of participants or volunteers during the Firefighter 5K or Kids Fun Run Sept. 28.

Though the weather discouraged the usual turnout, a total of 326 racers registered for the Firefighter 5K and 135 children participating in the Kids Fun Run.

Highlights of the event included a warm up with Wendie Pett, fitness and wellness expert and coach, and a visit from TC Bear, the Twins mascot, who helped to begin the race.

Participants represented 55 different communities and came from as far away as Colorado and Germany.
