Plymouth Council To Discuss Transit Services
The Plymouth City Council has a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, to discuss performance of transit services for the city. At 7 p.m. that night the council will meet for its regular meeting also, both meetings are in the Medicine Lake Confer

The Plymouth City Council will meet with the Plymouth Advisory Committee on Transit to discuss transportation operations in the city at a special meeting 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27.
The meeting will look at: transit system history, ridership, funding, budget and performance as well as any conclusions and recommendations regarding transit services from the Committee.
Following this meeting, the council will have its regular meeting at 7 p.m. But because upgrading work is being done in the council chambers both meetings will be held in the Medicine Lake Conference room next to the chambers at .

Several items are up for approval under the consent agenda for the regular meeting including the approval of a 25 mph school speed zone on Old Rockford Road for , on Peony Lane for and on Schmidt Lake Road for Providence Academy.
This speed zone change is possible because of a recent state statute change that will reflect the city's uniform speed limit for school zones throughout the city.

Also on the consent agenda is approval of a site plan amendment for a building expansion and related site improvements at for Youth and Families at 11505 36th Avenue. The Plymouth center for teens will be adding beds to provide mental healthcare.
Another item on the consent agenda includes approval of a Conditional Use Permit for the restaurant to be located at Plymouth Plaza Shopping Center at 1455 County Road 101.
