Plymouth Realtor Wins Annual Award

Jim Dattalo, a REALTOR with Edina Realty’s Plymouth office, was honored with an Edina Realty “Emmy” award on Dec. 18 at a special luncheon for the award winners.

Established to honor company founder Emma L. Rovick, the “Emmy” Award is given annually to two people: one employee and one real estate agent who exemplify Edina Realty’s core values of honesty, integrity and commitment.

“Jim’s passion for real estate is evident by anyone who comes into contact with him,” said Barb Jandric, Edina Realty president. “An agent who has worn many hats, Jim is totally deserving of this award for the many years he has devoted to the real estate industry on a national, state and local level.”

A REALTOR® with Edina Realty since 1989, Dattalo has made a life-long career in real estate after graduating from the University of Minnesota.

In 1999, Dattalo was named REALTOR® of the Year by the Minneapolis Association of REALTORS® (MAAR). He teaches up and coming real estate agents as one of MAAR’s continuing education instructors.

He twice served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® and has served on several committees including Governmental Affairs, Professional Standards and the Executive Committee. Dattalo has also served as V.P. of Region Eight for the National Association of REALTORS®.

Past Emmy award winners and current nominees review all Emmy award nominations and vote on the top three finalists in both categories. In the final round, every Edina Realty REALTOR and staff member vote on the final award winners. Award winners must excel in customer service, leadership, team building and/or make significant contributions to the company or industry.
