Plymouth Recognized for Effective Use of MN Legacy Amendment Funds

Eight other Minnesota cities shared the honor from Conservation MInnesota and Minnesota Citizens for the Arts.

Two organizations have picked the City of Plymouth as one of the best in Minnesota in its use of Legacy Amendment funds.

Conservation Minnesota and Minnesota Citizens for the Arts announced April 11, 2013 that Plymouth and eight other cities deserved to be honored for their efforts, according a press release at the Conservation Minnesota website:

This year, nine cities will be recognized for their roles in utilizing Legacy funding to make their communities better for residents and visitors alike.  This year’s legacy destinations are:  Apple Valley, Coon Rapids, Hastings, Maplewood, Nisswa, Plymouth, Rushford, Stillwater, and Two Harbors.

“Each of these cities were chosen for the great work they are doing to utilize the Legacy Amendment dollars for projects within their communities,” Said Paul Austin, Executive Director of Conservation Minnesota. “We believe each of these cities has embraced the amendment, and are making the most of the opportunities provided to them.”
