Plymouth U12 Baseball Team Heads To State
The U12 All-Stars won the District 1 tournament on Sunday and will play in Cloquet on Wednesday

The Plymouth-New Hope U12 All-Star team won the District 1 tournament over the weekend, which ended with a 10-0 win over Tonka South on Sunday in the championship game.
The win sends Plymouth to the state tournament beginning Wednesday through Sunday in Cloquet. Their first game is against District 4 champion Itasca at 3 p.m. District 2 champion Centennial West and District 3 champion Hermantown will also be at the state tournament.
In District 1 play, which was held at Zachary Playfields, Plymouth went 6-2. The squad defeated East Tonka North, Blaine National, Coon Rapids American, Hamel and South Tonka twice. Plymouth also lost to Coon Rapids National and South Tonka. The team’s final record was 6-2.

Members of the All-Star team include Will Whitmore, Chance Bowen, Preston Reed, Isaac Grooms, Ben Arndt, Derek Schmiesing, Jerick, Kuznia, Mitchell Waletzki, Jordan Cisewski, Dawson Dee and Carter Breitenfeldt.
