The Providence Academy Lions Football team played tough against a difficult DeLaSalle opponent Sept. 30, but were unable to keep up with the Islanders and were defeated 27-7. Friday night was also Homecoming for Providence Academy and the halftime entertainment included parade floats of the different fall sports teams and even a fireworks show. Providence Academy is now 3-2 on the season and will travel to play Minnehaha Academy next Friday night, Oct. 7.
