TODAY: Plymouth City Photo Contest Deadline
Today's the deadline for submissions to the city of Plymouth's Photos at Your Fingertips contest.

The technology age has changed many things including photography.
Going from film to digital was a major milestone and being able to take photos and video with your cell phone has become another giant leap.
Recognizing this, the city of Plymouth is seeking submissions for "Photos At Your Fingertips" a future cell phone photography exhibit.

Residents, local artists, professional and amateur photographers, students and youth are welcome to enter into the contest by the end of the business day today.
The city is looking for "images that portray the dynamic and unique character of our world," according to a press release. By submitting work for the exhibition, you will be one among hundreds who express their own perspective of the people, places, activities, rituals, connections and character of the world while supporting the arts.

Volunteers will organize all the entries, select at least one image from each person who participates, print them on card stock in 5 by 7 inch format, hang them unframed and montage-style on the gallery wall at the Plymouth Creek Center and sell them for $5 each to benefit the city of Plymouth's arts programs.
The cost to enter is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
The exhibit will run from Jan. 2, 2012 to Feb. 2, 2012 and there will be a public reception 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.
