3 Injured In Stabbing Incident At Richfield Apartment: Police

Three people were transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

RICHFIELD, MN — Police say three people were injured in a stabbing incident at a Richfield apartment early Wednesday. Just before 1:30 a.m., Richfield police officers responded to an apartment on the 700 block of 77th Street East regarding a disturbance.

Neighbors reported the sound of breaking glass, someone yelling for help, and possible gunshots.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered three victims at the apartment. The victims received medical attention for stab wounds and cuts from broken glass.

All three were transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center for additional medical care, according to a news release.

Officers noted their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Initial information indicated at least two males forced entry into the apartment and then assaulted the victims.

The male suspects fled the area prior to officer arrival, according to police. It appeared the suspects knew one or more of the victims and is an isolated incident.

The Richfield Police Department does not believe there is an on-going threat to the community. Authorities are actively investigating this incident.
