• Man Charged With Felony Theft After Nearly $2,000 in Fragrances Allegedly Stolen From Richfield Ulta (limitless-news.com) — Richfield police have charged a 31-year-old man with felony theft after nearly $2,000 in fragrances were allegedly stolen across three incidents at the Ulta Beauty on West 78th Street. Officers say they recovered high-end colognes, linked him to earlier thefts, and report he admitted planning to steal and trading fragrances for drugs. He remains in custody and is presumed innocent pending trial.
   

• Minnesota Supreme Court hears case on if religious institutions can discriminate against employees (kare11.com) — A legal battle involving Richfield's Academy of Holy Angels has reached the Minnesota Supreme Court, which is weighing whether religious schools can fire secular employees based on identity. A former librarian, fired after coming out as transgender, argues the school violated the Minnesota Human Rights Act, while earlier courts sided with the school on religious freedom grounds. The justices' decision could affect many workplaces statewide.
