City Of Richfield Reduces Daily Hours Of Operation For Municipal Liquor Stores
The city will continue to monitor and reevaluate store operating procedures as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.

On March 18, the City of Richfield reduced the daily hours of operation for the municipal liquor stores to 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For the time being, all stores will remain open during those hours. However, to better protect residents and staff from further spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) the stores will also be implementing the following new practices:

- The stores have established floor markings showing a six-foot distance, to remind patrons and staff of the importance of social distancing.
- No cash will be accepted at stores starting Monday, March 23, including lottery redemptions.
- The stores’ ATMs will be offline.
- All touchpoints, carts, handles, payment terminals and shopping baskets will continue to be sanitized frequently.
- Stores will limit access to six customers at a time.
- Customers appearing physically ill will be asked to leave.
- Staff not feeling well will not be allowed to report to work.
- No merchandise, of any sort, can be returned or exchanged.
As with other government organizations, the city will continue to monitor and reevaluate store operating procedures as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve. If further revisions in hours and business practices are necessary, the city will let residents know.
