DWI, Fraud, Shoplifting: Richfield Incident Report Dec. 7-13

Fraud, thefts, and a DWI are included in the Richfield police incident report for mid-December. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Between Dec. 7 and Dec. 13, Richfield police responded to the following calls:

Dec. 7

  • Officers responded to suspicious males walking through a neighborhood in which they were later stopped and arrested for an assault, as well as potential suspects for tampering with motor vehicles.
  • Police responded to the report of a domestic abuse situation. The suspect was later located and arrested.
  • Police say unknown parties used a cloned credit card for two transactions at the Motel 6. Four parties were located and an investigation was started. One adult male was arrested on a warrant.

Dec. 8

  • Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity. Three males were arrested for financial credit card transaction fraud.

Dec. 9

  • An officer identified a stolen motor vehicle out. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and it began to flee from officers. Vehicle was stopped and driver was arrested.
  • Officer conducted a traffic stop and two juvenile males were cited.
  • Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud. The victim reported his roommate fraudulently used his debit card in the amount of $3,696.89.
  • Officers responded in reference to a male seen dragging a female from the street back into the house. One adult male was issued a citation for obstruction and a female was transported to the hospital.

Dec. 12

  • Officers responded to the above address regarding an in-custody shoplifting suspect. Total loss stolen and recovered was $499.99. The suspect also had a felony warrant out of Florida and was transported to jail. See long narrative for further details
  • On the above date and time, officers were dispatched to the above location on the report of a robbery. The suspect was not located.
  • Officers responded to the 6000 block of Richfield Parkway regarding a theft.

Dec. 13

A vehicle was stopped on Knox Avenue for traffic violations. The driver was found to be DWI and was arrested. Police say he refused to provide a test.
