Joly Officially Starts As New Best Buy CEO, President

Best Buy's new president and CEO, Hubert Joly, officially began his work Tuesday.

Joly was hired after after . at the time of his departure. in May, however, the investigating commission didn't find any misuse of company funds.

According to a Best Buy press release, Joly will spend his first week at the store level working as a "Blue Shirt" in several different Twin Cities area stores.

"Best Buy is a company with an amazing history, enormous assets and great opportunities," Joly said in the release. "I am eager to start working with everybody at Best Buy to define and take the actions that will allow us to win in the marketplace, and to be seen by all of our stakeholders as the best buy."
