Payless To Close 4 MN Locations; Richfield To Stay Open
Payless ShoeSource, the family footwear retailer, announced Tuesday that it has filed for bankruptcy.
Payless ShoeSource, the specialty family footwear retailer, has announced that it has filed for bankruptcy. The store will close nearly 400 "underperforming" locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The Richfield location will not be impacted.
The company said it will work to aggressively manage the remaining real estate lease portfolio either by modifying terms, or evaluating closures of additional locations, according to a news release.
Four Minnesota locations will close:
- 8621 East Point, Douglas Road, Cottage Grove
- EasTen Shopping Center, Moorhead
- Medford Outlet Center, Medford
- Elk Park Center, Elk River
