Richfield Parents: Register Your Child For Safety Day

Opened to Richfield's third graders, participants will learn first aid, emergency preparedness and bullying prevention from local polie.

Do you have a Richfield third grader? If so, police invite you to register your child for the Richfield Police and Fire Safety Day, taking place Friday, June 9, 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Registration opened Wednesday.

This is a special day for children entering fourth grade next fall (2017/2018 school year). Participants will learn fire, bike, electrical and personal safety, basic first aid, emergency preparedness and bullying prevention, all while being mentored by police officers and fire fighters.

Safety Day takes place at the Richfield STEM School, 7020 12th Ave S.

A graduation and pizza party for the children and their parents will take place immediately following Safety Day in the STEM School lunchroom.

The $30 registration fee includes lunch, snacks, T-shirt, prizes, and a pizza dinner for the participant and one parent (additional dinner tickets may be purchased for $4/each).
